Please keep in mind that points are awarded in accordance with all EC and discipline rules (A410).

This includes:

• Current Gold or Platinum Sport Licence (A204, A205, G107.5, E202) for Hunter/Jumper and Dressage rankings
• Current Silver Licence for Eventing rankings at the EV100 and EV105 level (D102)
• Complete, active horse recording (Section A: Chapter 4, G110.1, E202.2, D102)
• Amateur status for amateur divisions (A902, G108.7, E202)

Points will not be awarded in the following cases:

• A rider competes without a sufficient/active sport licence at time of competition (A204, A205 & G107.5 &E 20.2.3)
• A rider competes with a Temporary Sport Licence Upgrade (A211.3)
• No Amateur Status in amateur divisions (A902, E202)
• A rider competes with an invalid or incomplete horse recording. (A403.5, E202, D102)
• A horse owner does not hold a suffient/active sport licence at time of competition (A203).

It is the responsibility of the competitor to be aware of the Rules & requirements to be eligible to compete and collect points (Rules of Equestrian Canada – Preface, A602.7). Points will not be awarded retroactively in any case (G113.4 / E 20.2.2))

EC National Rankings are offered at the Gold level for divisions defined in the Section G: Hunter, Jumper, Equitation and Hack Rule Book

To Earn Hunter/Jumper National Rankings Points:

• Rider must hold the Gold or Platinum level EC Sport Licence
• All owners must hold a Gold or Platinum Sport Licence
• Horse must have an EC Horse Recording
• Horse must have declared eligibility if competing in Pre-Green or Green divisions
• Amateur status is needed for points in amateur divisions
• CET membership is required for points in the CET medal division
• Province is assigned based on Provincial/Territorial Membership of current owner (ex. OE, HCBC, etc)
• All competitions where points are earned are included in the total
• Hunter and Jumper points are allocated to the horse, Equitation points are allocated to the rider

⚠️ Single Event Sport Licence upgrades do not earn National Rankings points

EC National Rankings are offered at the Gold level for divisions defined in the Section E: Dressage & Para-Dressage Rule Book (Article 17.2 Levels/Divisions)

For Scores to Appear on the National Rankings:

• Rider must hold the Gold or Platinum level EC Sport Licence
• All owners must hold a Gold or Platinum Sport Licence
• Province is assigned based on Provincial/Territorial Membership of current owner (ex. OE, HCBC, etc)
• Horse must have an EC Horse Recording
• Calculated by averaging the two highest scores from two separate competitions
• Scores must be obtained from the test with the highest degree of difficulty within the applicable division (e.g., National levels, Test 3)
• Test of Choice scores do not count toward Dressage National Rankings – they do count toward Para-Dressage National Rankings

EC National Rankings are offered for divisions defined in the Section D: Eventing Rule Book

To Earn Eventing National Rankings Points:

• Rider must hold the correct level EC Sport Licence
• All owners must hold a Sport Licence at the level the horse is competing
• Horse must have an EC Horse Recording for the EV100 level and above
• Results must be submitted and validated by EC
• Points are assigned to the rider only at the EV 85 and EV 90 levels
• Points are assigned to the horse/rider combination at the EV100 level and above
• Points are counted from the top four (4) competition results
